Captain’s Log: Stardate 10206.0
This week, our first officer, Captain Richard Schillay, will be heading out towards the second most vile, wretched hive of scum and villainy in the solar system as he’ll be in Atlantic City for this year’s Sail Expo. His mission is to secure new downhaul, uphaul and vang sheeting systems for the Enterprise as well as look into a warp core upgrade.

I, on the other hand, will be at the first most vile, wretched hive of scum and villainy as I am heading to Las Vegas on a business trip. Unfortunately (since it is in a desert,) Las Vegas won’t have and sailboat gear for me to purchase. However, if the craps tables are doing well, there may be an Enterprise-B in the future.

As for the crew, from what I know, all is well. Kurt is working on a new race-scoring program (you are, aren’t you?) Deb is now a Social Member of the City Island Yacht Club, and Laura is back from Canada. As someone once said, Canada is like America’s attic; You go up there once in a while, see that there’s a bunch of things there that you forgot about, but then realize it’s cold up there and if anything up there was of any real value, it would be down here.

There has been some progress in the search for new Captain’s quarters – a wonderful split home in Pleasantville (and it’s in color.) It was just looked at by an engineer (whose name wasn’t Scotty) and we hope to close within 60 days or so – we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
