Captain’s Log: Stardate 10224.7
The first (and probably only) work party for the year will be on Saturday, April 20 (Stardate 10230.1), 10:30am, at Consolidated Yards on City Island. All crew are asked to attend and lunch will be provided. The Enterprise doesn’t need a whole lot of work this season, but the bottom does need a quick sanding, new jam cleats need to be installed for the downhaul and uphaul, some overall clean-up, and our new navigation system needs to be installed.

It is my hope to have the Enterprise launched by the first week of May.

I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Ensign Patty McKee to the crew, who, being from Laura’s home town, gives us opportunity to re-use all of our Canada jokes (ey.) And if we lose a race, we can always Blame Canada. (it’s a link to an Mp3 of “Blame Canada” from the South Park movie.)

We’re still waiting to hear on “Lefty”, but as far as I can tell, the rest of the crew is ready for the season ahead – Jonathan might actually show up this year. Kurt may actually buy gloves. And, for some reason, Brad has started taking speed swimming lessons.

Unfortunately though, Lt. Brick has been unreachable and returns no subspace hails. Has he been caught in a wormhole and is now in the Delta Quadrant? Has his molecules been compressed into a data stream by the transporter and then scattered throughout the system? Has Andy found marriage too much to manage? Whatever it is, we hope he finds his way and rejoins our noble crew.

On a final note: Stand by for an official announcement regarding new Captain’s quarters later this week . . .
